Gen Con: The WEGS Old Skool Menu

Here is the full scoop on our WEGS Old Skool events at Gen Con 2013. Most of these events sold out pretty quick, so we added more events last week. Some of those quickly sold out, too! Important: These late events will NOT appear in the Gen Con program, but you can find them all via Gen Con’s online registration system. That will also list current availability for each game.

Don’t know what this WEGS Old Skool is all about? No problem! Four dice alone fuel the WEGS battle frenzy (2d6 and 2d10), and these dice catapult the players’ actions to the highest of highs or plunge them to the lowest of lows. Like the casino game craps, this game is all about dramatic swings of luck and unfettered speed-of-play. This little system moves. Rules taught!

Dwarf Walks Into A Bar
Short: Swords. Sorcery. Wizards. Whatever! Keep one hand on your tankard and the other on your hilt, it’s gonna be one of those nights. Anything goes in this barbarian bar room brawl! Fun intro to WEGS!
Full: A fan favorite since 2007! A rag-tag assortment of adventurers are having a real slow night at the Tongue of Dung, a seedy tavern in the bad part of a town called Ikkspatt. In one dark corner, a drunken Dwarf slumbers. In the other, the Goblin chieftain Borkfu and his gang are getting rowdy. The Ogre barkeep looks like he’s itching for a reason to hit something with his club. Keep one hand on your tankard and the other on your hilt, it’s gonna be one of those nights. A great intro to WEGS, the Wickedly Errant Game System! All rules taught.

Dungeon Fun 101-WEGS Style!
Short: A beginner’s intro to dungeon crawling with WEGS, the Wickedly Errant Game System. Don’t know WEGS? No problem! Character creation is a breeze and you’ll be face-to-face with some monsters in minutes.
Full: Dungeon Heroes Wanted! Never rolled up a WEGS character before? No worries. We’ll teach you everything you need to know to survive in this wicked dungeon crawl. In fact, you get to choose how difficult the first encounter will be: Mild, Medium, or Spicy! With its easy rules and wild dice rolls, WEGS delivers full throttle sword-n-sorcery adventure. Designed for over-the-top heroic encounters, the game was greatly inspired by the early days of fantasy gaming where characters were created in minutes and, moments later, face-to-face with terrible foes. All you need is a sense of adventure to get started!

Dingbitt’s Dunge O’ Doom (WEGS Old Skool)
Short: Full throttle sword-n-sorcery fun with WEGS, the Wickedly Errant Game System! The dungeon is randomly generated as we play. Easy rules. Wild dice rolls. All you need is a wicked sense of adventure.
Full: You aint done dungeon ‘til you done Dingbitts! A rag-tag group of sword-n-sorcery heroes are plunged into the randomly generated dungeon run by Dingbitt, the rabid Gnobbit rogue. His dungeon is chock full of treasure, traps and monsters. It is up to the heroes to decide what it shall be: fabulous trove, worthy opponents or, perhaps, just to find a way out? It’s amazing how priorities change when they are no longer on Dungeon Level 1.

Dingbitt’s Inferno: The Deep Deep Levels (WEGS Old Skool)
Short: A wicked dungeon romp that dares to go where Dingbitt said don’t – the deep, deep levels! Grab your dice, roll up some characters, and let’s get this dungeon party started. Time to feed the dungeon!
Full: You aint done dungeon ‘til you done Dingbitts! A rag-tag group of sword-n-sorcery heroes are plunged into the randomly generated dungeon run by Dingbitt, the rabid Gnobbit raconteur. We start on Dungeon Level 8 and just go down from there. Characters will be created at the start of the game, but feel free to bring your own creations (100 point spread). Multi class encouraged! Just be ready to “Act Fast” and “Spante”. Come join us for some wicked dungeon fun!
